Hi, I’m Emma!

I’m the heart and soul behind Digital DeTales, where I bring stories to life through photography and visual art. As a recent graduate in Media Arts from the University of Hawaiʻi, I’ve spent years honing my skills and developing a unique approach to storytelling.

I was born and raised in Austin, Texas, before moving to the small but beautiful Orcas Island and later to Oahu for college, and now back to my home town of Austin! Each of these places has shaped my creative aesthetic, from the vibrant cityscapes of Austin to the serene, natural beauty of Orcas and the rich, tropical landscapes of Oahu. They’ve given me a deep appreciation for blending color, light, and texture in my work.

I studied abroad in Spain back in 2024, and ever since, I’ve embraced every opportunity to travel and explore new places — finding inspiration in the people, landscapes, and cultures I encounter along the way. My work spans photography and videography, combining creativity and technical skill to craft visuals that connect, inspire, and engage.

My passion lies in capturing authentic moments that tell a story, whether it’s through a single frame or an entire shoot. I believe every project is an opportunity to create something timeless, and I’m dedicated to making my clients feel seen, celebrated, and inspired.
