About Me

Hi, I’m Emma!

I’m the heart and soul behind Digital DeTales, where I bring stories to life through photography and visual art. As a senior pursuing my Media Arts degree, I’ve spent years honing my skills and developing a unique approach to storytelling.

Originally, I focused on drawing and painting, but after experiencing a diagnosis that limited my hand mobility, I turned to photography as a new creative outlet. Capturing moments with a camera gave me a way to continue expressing my artistic vision in a new form.

I was born and raised in Austin, Texas, before moving to the small but beautiful Orcas Island and later to Oahu for college. Each of these places has shaped my creative aesthetic, from the vibrant cityscapes of Austin to the serene, natural beauty of Orcas and the rich, tropical landscapes of Oahu. They’ve given me a deep appreciation for blending color, light, and texture in my work.

My passion lies in capturing authentic moments that tell a story, whether it’s through a single frame or an entire shoot. I believe every project is an opportunity to create something timeless, and I’m dedicated to making my clients feel seen, celebrated, and inspired.
